However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the enduring popularity of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V. The first trailer for this game was released 12 years ago, and fans have eagerly been waiting for the next game in the series, Grand Theft Auto VI.

Numerous leaks have surfaced about what seems to be a highly anticipated gaming event. We’ve collected all available information from the internet regarding when fans can anticipate a release date, trailer, and additional details for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Rumors of the GTA 6 release date

I’m sorry to bring disappointing news but don’t hold your breath for a GTA VI release date anytime soon. The only official word from Rockstar regarding GTA VI was a confirmation of its existence in February 2022, and since then, there has been no further information.

Some clues from Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, in August, indicated a significant development in fiscal 2025, which could hint at a new GTA, but it’s not confirmed. In July 2022, Jason Schreier of Bloomberg reported that former and current Rockstar employees anticipated a wait of at least two more years for GTA 6. Moreover, during its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft suggested that Grand Theft Auto VI was expected to be released in 2024.

However, despite these hints, it’s unlikely that Rockstar or Take-Two will announce a release date for GTA 6 in the near future. It appears that we’re still at least a year away from any significant updates on this front.

GTA 6 leaks

However, this massive leak was extraordinary and was swiftly removed from the internet. Finding footage or discussions about it on platforms like Reddit or the official GTA forums is a challenge, and inquiring about it may lead to bans. Notably, a 17-year-old UK citizen was arrested last year in connection with the Rockstar hack, and it appears he had ties to the known hacker group “Laspus$.”
