Color of the Year Pantone Peach Fuzz is the new hue for Motorola Razr

For a nostalgic phone, a fresh look is in order.

The Pantone Color of the Year has been revealed, and it brings to mind the softness of a ripe summer fruit. Pantone 13-1023, affectionately named “Peach Fuzz,” is described as “velvety” and “gentle,” exuding a warm and tender essence. Pantone emphasizes that this color embodies emotions of togetherness, community, and collaboration, making it a delightful choice for the year ahead.

In an exclusive collaboration, Motorola is set to launch a special edition of its Razr+ in the charming Peach Fuzz color. This limited edition will be available in selected markets at a discounted price of $699.99, marked down by $300 from its original cost.

Motorola believed that the fusion of technology and color can be a powerful form of self-expression, providing a platform for creativity and immersive experiences. The special edition, particularly the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, boasts a covering of “vegan leather” that beautifully complements the device’s warm and contoured design. This aesthetic engagement is said to stimulate the senses and ignite the imagination.

While opinions may vary on the technological and sensory aspects, one thing seems universally agreed upon—the color is undeniably lovely.

This marks Motorola’s second consecutive year incorporating the Pantone Color of the Year into its devices, with the previous year featuring hues like Very Peri, Aqua Foam, Black Onyx, and Ice Palace in 2022. Furthermore, the tech company recently revived its iconic “Viva Magenta” color, well-known for gracing its popular flip phones from the 2000s.
