Black Friday offers a $200 discount on this mini LED gaming monitor

An excellent price for a monitor that can hit 1000 nits at 1440p 165Hz.

In the last few weeks, I’ve been trying out a really cool gaming monitor from KTC. This Mini LED monitor, the M27T20, stands out because it has thousands of tiny LEDs that are super small, less than 0.2mm in size. This feature makes the HDR (High Dynamic Range) performance really good because it lets you see much clearer differences between the bright and dark parts of the screen.

What’s even better is that, unlike other Mini LED monitors that can be quite pricey, this one is surprisingly affordable. With a special Black Friday deal, you can get a $200 discount, making the M27T20 only $400.

This 27-inch Mini LED gaming monitor from KTC is offering an incredibly competitive price. For just $400, you’re getting a 1440p resolution, a super smooth 165Hz refresh rate, and support for both FreeSync and G-Sync. Not to mention, it boasts an impressive peak brightness of 1000 nits, making your gaming experience even more vibrant and detailed.

Thanks to its Full Array Local Dimming feature, this monitor delivers a much more striking HDR image compared to standard LED-backlit displays. With 576 zones spread across the 27-inch screen, you’ll experience minimal ghosting around bright highlights, ensuring impressive contrast levels, especially with the VA panel screen.

While VA panels are often criticized for viewing angles and pixel response times, this KTC monitor performs well in these aspects. Even during intense gaming sessions like Counter-Strike 2 at 144Hz with local dimming enabled (165Hz requires local dimming to be disabled), I didn’t notice any issues. While I’d still recommend a Fast IPS or OLED monitor for highly competitive players, the KTC monitor stands out by avoiding the noticeable smears that older VA panels had.

Color accuracy is another strong point. The included calibration report, along with my own testing, shows Delta E values less than 2.0, indicating generally imperceptible deviations from a perfect display. Additionally, it covers almost the entire sRGB and AdobeRGB color gamuts (99 percent), with 93 percent coverage of DCI P3. The included stand also offers flexibility with portrait mode rotation, swivel, tilt, and height adjustments.

This KTC Mini LED monitor comes packed with some intriguing features. Notably, it offers a robust 90W USB-C charging capability, which is powerful enough to keep a MacBook Pro 16, even one equipped with an M1 Pro, charged during regular use. Another standout feature is the KVM switch, allowing you to seamlessly switch between multiple connected computers, managing your monitor, keyboard, and mouse with ease.

The monitor also comes equipped with built-in speakers, providing a decent audio experience—handy for quick console gaming sessions when you don’t want to bother with a headset or external speakers.

For console gaming enthusiasts, the M27T20 supports 1440p at 120Hz for both PS5 and Xbox Series X via HDMI 2.0. Additionally, it includes a 4K display mode that downscales to the panel’s native 1440p resolution, enabling HDR content playback from consoles at 60Hz—an excellent option to have. However, if console gaming is your primary focus, it’s advisable to opt for a monitor with higher bandwidth HDMI 2.1 ports.
