Twitch App ditches Switch

The Nintendo Switch app will no longer be supported by Twitch App.

Twitch is stopping its app for Nintendo Switch. They won’t help with it anymore and will take it off the Nintendo store on November 6th. If you already have it, you won’t be able to use it after January 31st, 2024.

Twitch launched its app on Nintendo Switch in late 2021, but users had some problems with it. You couldn’t see the chat while watching a stream, so if you wanted to talk to others, you had to use a different device. Also, you couldn’t subscribe to support your favorite creators, and you couldn’t use the app to broadcast your own gameplay.

Twitch decided to remove the app from Nintendo Switch because of these issues. They thanked the Switch community for their support and mentioned that Nintendo is still an important partner for them.
