In this latest threat, players must confront relentless hordes of deteriorating Malignant monsters. Their mission: to vanquish these foul creatures and harvest their corrupted hearts. These tainted hearts serve as a source of power, offering substantial bonuses and the means to further enhance the player character’s skills.

In terms of storytelling, it follows a somewhat conventional path that may not offer many surprises to either seasoned seasonal players or casual RPG enthusiasts. In the classic “Seek assistance from a trusty sidekick to navigate the treacherous world” fashion, players are introduced to Conrad. He’s a former priest of the Cathedral of Light and takes on the role of training the player character in the art of defeating abominations, gathering their corrupted hearts, and unlocking new build powers.

Guided by Conrad, the hero of Sanctuary embarks on a journey across numerous Malignant dungeons spanning the extensive 90-tier season.
