Tesla Model 3 2024 is now available in the US

The updated Highland Model 3 comes with a sleeker front end for improved aerodynamics, but a lower top speed is listed in its specs.

The latest version of the Tesla Model 3 sedan, initially launched in Europe, the Middle East, and China last fall, has now made its way to North America. During its development phase, it went by the codename “Highland” and comes with several noticeable improvements for Tesla’s popular electric sedan.

On the exterior, the unique bump on the front end has been replaced with a sleeker hood and more streamlined headlights. According to Tesla, these changes enhance aerodynamics, potentially increasing driving range. Additionally, two new color options, Stealth Grey and Ultra Red, have been introduced for this updated model.

The 2024 Model 3 refresh has become the exclusive option available for ordering on Tesla’s configurator, and unlike the previous lineup, there are now only two versions to choose from. Buyers can opt for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model with dual motors or the more affordable Rear-Wheel Drive version. Notably, the higher-end Performance model is no longer available at this time.

The 2024 Long Range Tesla Model 3 boasts an EPA estimated range of up to 341 miles, slightly improving from its predecessor’s 333 miles, while the rear-wheel-drive model maintains a listed range of 272 miles. Both versions retain the same starting price as last year’s models. However, there is a notable change in top speed, with both 2024 Model 3 versions capped at 125 mph. In contrast, the 2023 rear-wheel model reached 140 mph, the Long Range hit 145 mph, and the Performance model could achieve an impressive 162 mph.
